Without you...

Every young girl dreams of being Miss USA or Miss America. At least here they do. And after the tedious process, I was given the opportunity to make that dream comes true as well. This past weekend I competed for the title of Miss Georgia USA. There were 46 young ladies in the competition and only one would leave as Miss Georgia USA 2013. It was a weekend, Thursday thru Saturday, where we interviewed, walked, rehearsed, and had a dinner with the Mayor of Cartersville, GA.

Saturday we were able to witness the dream of one young lady come true, and see how everyone else would handle going home with just bittersweet memories.

I was one of the 45 that left without a crown, but I learned so much on this journey. I met some amazing ladies, that I've been speaking to every day. And received some valuable life lessons from both Miss Dale Smith Thomas and Miss Kim Greenwood. It always sounds cliche when people say its not about who wins, but the journey. This past weekend has encouraged me so much. I know now that this wasn't my path, but perseverance will get me to where I am destined to be in life.

I do have to give a special thank you to my sponsors and the two special women that encouraged and sowed into my life more than I could've ever imagined, and I'll be forever grateful.
