A few weeks ago, my girls surprised me with a Girls Trip to New Orleans.

It was my first time visiting as an adult, and I had a blast.

If you are thinking of visiting, here are the top 5 places you must visit.

Ruby Slippers

· Yes, everyone recommends, and the line is crazy long (tip sign up online to get on the waitlist), but it is well worth it.

The Presbytère

· There is great information about Hurricane Katrina and Mardi Gras.

Nice Guy Bar and Grill

· They were open later than most restaurants and they had a yummy, blackened salmon and crawfish mac and cheese.

Streetcar

· A comfy way to view the city and pick amazing places to get off and explore. All for the low price of $3.00 (roundtrip).

Bourbon Street

· It was the heart of nightlife. We partied the night away until 4am.
