Girl Around Town...Gemy Maalouf

During Fashion Week in February I was able to attend the Gemy Maalouf show. I fell in love with the designs, and she even dressed a client of mine, Chinyere Adogu. I am excited to share Gemy as this week’s Girl Around Town.

Gemy Maalouf is a Couture brand based in Lebanon. The Gemy Maalouf collection includes two evening lines and a bridal line. The first line, Gemy Maalouf includes high-end evening gowns, cocktail dresses and evening separates while the second line, Beside Couture By Gemy Maalouf includes affordable evening gowns. They also have bridal line called, Gemy Maalouf Bridal. This Bridal collection would make any bride swoon. It gets me more excited for my time as a bride.

Gemy got started as a child spending her time in her father’s fabrics store. During this time she learned so much, and her passion developed. Gemy’s motto is, “Do what you love!” It is simple, but so very inspiring. Gemy’s goal is to continue to gradually grow internationally and target a bigger audience. They are currently working on our upcoming Fall Winter 18/19 collection which is super exciting for their team.

One thing that Gemy wants people to know about her is that she puts her heart and soul into each creation. She makes to make sure that her collection represents her true identity and style. And, this style is developed when she is listening to music and dancing. This is a source of her inspiration for her creations.
